Elle and Fritz are the heirs of the seemingly untouchable Kumo-Ochmann family. At their annual Thanksgiving dinner-turned-gala, they pretend they are able to leave all these worries outside, swapping whispers of scandal and exploitation for placecards and hors d'oeuvres. While Fritz struggles to grapple with the failure of their activism presence of their father's new allies and what changes they bring to the family company, Elle tries to keep the event together and the paparazzi out. But illusions of grandeur can only hold for so long, and reality hurts some more than others. After all, those who rise must also fall.
