Naomi Iiuzuka's Anon(ymous) follows Anon, a young refugee, searching for some semblance of home and his mother, Nemasani, whom he was separated from long ago. Journeying across a threat-filled America, he faces murderous one-eyed butchers, alluring dive bars, drugged-out Shadows, and the constant threat of authorities, but he also finds friends in unexpected places and unlooked-for serendipity.
